Chief's Visit to Shank Area Office
WOW! I'm really far behind on getting blogs out there. . . Since these photos were already loaded into the system, I figured I would post this blog officially.

During our trip we had an amazing lunch at one of the contractor's camps.

The flight - the Contractor gave COL Magness a cloak. Thought I'd try it on over the body armor :-)

Great ceremony to dedicate the new FOB Shank USACE facilities, but also to present the medals (including the purple heart) to several soldiers.

Lieutenant General Van Antwerp held a house meeting during his recent visit to AED-N.
Dani and Dave "preparing" for the house meeting. "Preparing" entailed Dani chatting with Dave :-)

During the house meeting, General Van Antwerp presented coins to individuals nominated by their various organizations. I was honored and humbled to have been nominated.
Then we did a group photo. The group was too large to get onto one frame, so there is a series of photos below.

The MeS Resident Office team attended a ribbon cutting recently and shared some of their photos with me. What a great group of people, and a successful project!

MeS in the Summer
I had the pleasure of taking another trip to MeS, and of course took some photos.

Can anyone from Walla Walla name this person?! Perhaps a familiar face from years ago? Yes, Oswald Mora is working as an office engineer for the MeS Area Office. I have the privilege of interfacing with him frequently. He says hi to everyone!
The valleys are even more pronounced now that the hillside has essentially no green!
