Town Hall with the Chief of Engineers

Lieutenant General Van Antwerp held a house meeting during his recent visit to AED-N.

Dani and Dave "preparing" for the house meeting. "Preparing" entailed Dani chatting with Dave :-)

COL Magness (AED-N Commander) and General Van Antwerp.

During the house meeting, General Van Antwerp presented coins to individuals nominated by their various organizations. I was honored and humbled to have been nominated.

Then we did a group photo. The group was too large to get onto one frame, so there is a series of photos below.

MeS Ribbon Cutting

ANOTHER SUCCESS! !
The MeS Resident Office team attended a ribbon cutting recently and shared some of their photos with me. What a great group of people, and a successful project!

Billy helped fly flags the other week . . .

MeS in the Summer

I had the pleasure of taking another trip to MeS, and of course took some photos.

A view of the city . . .

Another view of the city.

Can anyone from Walla Walla name this person?! Perhaps a familiar face from years ago? Yes, Oswald Mora is working as an office engineer for the MeS Area Office. I have the privilege of interfacing with him frequently. He says hi to everyone!

A view of the suburbs of MeS.

The airport in Marmal had this nice flowering shrub - and when there aren't many flowers around you have to take photos!

The valleys are even more pronounced now that the hillside has essentially no green!

Jalalabad Area Office Flood

Jalalabad Area Office was part of quite a significant flood. . . .

Danger - Elvis and Kevin are crazy!

I guess this gator is out of commission.

As long as you don't mind having wet feet and legs, chilling in the office isn't so bad.

The Area Office.

And, talk about water front property in your living quarters.

Promotion Ceremony

One of the CSTC-A Project Managers I work with on Border Police facilities was promoted from Lieutenant to Captain today! It was neat to be a part of the festivities.

COL Wehr, Capt Sean Warner, Lt Jacob Botello, and Capt. Noble.

Capt. Botello taking his oath.

On behalf of the fellow Air Force Captains, Capt. Warner and Capt. Noble presented Capt. Botello with the Officer's Creed - too funny. . . .
Congratulations!
